ArchieHood 3,692
...........Today would be the last of the season, it was a unanimous desicion made by the crew as family commitments and with the ongrowing threat of new blood casting its dreary shadow, it was in everyones interest..The sun was with us as was my Spaniel Lola, hoping to continue where we left off last week. http:// First port of call was a headgerow which Chris (Donator) longnetted while the rest of us purse netted a dozen or so holes along a bank adjacent to where he set up. http:// http://3 bolted into the longnets and 1 was caught in the purse nets, so we were up and running before the dew had even had time to disperse. http://We then netted to small buries which started off slowly but eventually yielded us another 4, one of which Chris (Donator) caught with his bare, soft and well manicured hand,as it slipped the net and made its escape. We hung the 8 rabbits up on the fence out of view and set off to net a few holes along the hedgrerow down to a field that had been far to wet and muddy to get near, but is drying out nicely. http:// Another 3 hit the nets while two more warrens and 2 small digs brought our total up to 14.The sun was dropping rapidly by now so Chris (Donator) decided to call it a day,it was in fact another good day with blood sweat and tears, mixed in with a lot of laughter and the odd rabbit............Oh and not forgetting the Mancs getting stuffed. http:// La piece de resistance ............http:// Till we meet again........................... 6 Quote Link to post
