Toe Tendon

Recommended Posts

My deerhound cross severed a tendon in her toe, I didn't really think anything of it at the time, just another cut foot, cleaned it up, let it heal and now it's pretty obvious she has no "grip" movement in that toe, when she stretches all her toes curl but that one stays pointing skyward, doesn't really bother her, other than the claw not wearing like the others it doesn't seem to effect her, just wondered if it would be slowing her down at speed or in the turn? It's her inside front left toe...

Cheers

Molie i would get the dog to the vet mate, just an example

i cut my ring finger once and i could bend all my fingers

into a fist shape, but when straightening the fingers back

my ring finger stayed curled into my palm

i had cut through my extensor tendon, which they

operated on using micro sugery, and it took quite a time

to heal.If you dont get that dog looked at, its quite

possible it could lead to more problems, but good luck with the

old dog mate...SWG DAVE..

My bitch tore hers before Xmas brought her to greyhound vet he said it won't make her any better or worse just won't look right told me to keep that nail trimmed all the time. Was middle toe on front leg. She tore tendon in her foot out lamping. Have had her out since hasn't effected her at all. Best of luck mate. Let us know how you get on
