GARY 76
Got 2 mate, a nice side by side, but when you have to leave the quad the wrong side of a deep gulley, Dogs/Spades/Bar/nets/and a small bag including torch locator box ect it would be nice to be able to have a short pistol instead of a longer heavier gun. Also the length of the barrels on the shotgun can be awkward in a tight dig when things need to be concluded quickly. Cheers Gary 1 Quote Link to post
alimac 882
Most of the big gun shop's will be able to get you a .410 pistol although it wont be cheap and they will probably have to order it in so it might take a week or two  From where I am in the north east, Iv to travel about 120 mile to the nearest dealer that is licensed to sell them. Nick3439 83
Why dont you just buy a folding 410,cheep as chips and easily consealed in a bag. Yildiz do a .410 that folds; cheep cheep too, about a ton fifty new. Quote Link to post
strongbow 149
york guns were selling 410 pistols yea they were and they were [BANNED TEXT] they called snake gun, double barrelled under an over with short barrels. Too short for dispatching a animal in a dig. Imported from the states.the barrels are so sort you cant shoot anything from 1foot because of the spread. Saw another 410 pistol tho that was a old fashioned horse slaughtering gun the barrel was about 12 inches long. This was a very efficient gun when the dog was lifted but didn't like it if the dog was fast to the quarry would rather the 22 then. Quote Link to post

Never needed to dispatch anything from more than 1ft so short barrel & huge spread wouldn't make any difference Quote Link to post
paulus 26
might be wrong here but can you not cut a single 410 down to a 23 inch barrel and take the stock back to the pistol grip, that way its still classed as a shotgun Quote Link to post

No, needs to have minimum barrel length of 24" and minimum overall length of 40" too I believe. Although that overall length limit might just be for pumps and semis....
