I'm in South Yorkshire and I have a friend who is an up and coming amateur gunsmith, specialises in Weihrauchs I believe. He's doing well, getting a bit of a name for himself in the local shooting circles.

At the moment he buys second-hand Weihrauchs, gives them a service, replaces parts and tidies them up, then sells them on. Bloody good at it by the sounds of it.

PM me if you want his details, there's a good chance he'll be cheaper than a shop.

Andy97 I'm keen to learn what problems you have had with SFS? Would you mind going into it? Oh and I agree it doesn't matter on the shop/garage or mobile caravan when taking my business as long as someone treats me good and I get the service I would expect then you can't beat them in my experience.

I can't stand my local shop 5 mins away but would rather travel an hour and go to my fav RFD. Based purely on customer service and the staff being friendly and not snooty or full of shit!

Each to their own.

Andy I take it you didn't buy the rifle from SFS? Only time I've heard him say he charges for it to be looked at is when the rifle changes hands.

I've had two tuned rifles from SFS in the past and both went wildly over limit. One of them went back and was lowered and then a few hundred pellets was back up there and went back again, total time it took me to drive was 5 hours with that gun going back and forth and feck knows how much petrol money.

BUT I would rather that than risk posting it back and forth. I don't know of one person who has had a SFS tuned hw and it hasn't gone over the limit. Something for those pondering a tuned air rifle from any tuner is that it may or will go over limit as it settles down. Regular chrono'ing is a must!

With all that said I really rate SFS their customer service I've experienced has been first class and their tunes are class! Friendly staff and customers and really well priced on all their products. I like the sound of this guy you talk about Andy if he can sell genuine HW's at those prices he will do very well!

Do you have a web address or contact details for him?

Phil
