Working A Bitch In Seaason

Recommended Posts

In my opinion very bad manners to work a bitch in season at a shoot as it causes massive hassle to anyone trying to work a dog. Plus what happens if your in season bitch is 'caught' by a dog at shoot, you'd only have yourself to blame? Complete no no, I've seen people sent home from a shoot for turning up with an inseason bitch.

You shouldn't work a bitch in season .

They are far more likely to pick up infections and during their season bitches lay down a layer of fat around their heart at this time as part of their cycle so working them is just putting more stress on them.

They are far better left at home and fully rested and they come back keener.

But that's just my way.
