Feeding Pup Rabbit?

Iv got a saluki bull cross and after a night out lamping I give him a court rabbit as a treat and he eats it all but he is hard mouthed but I'm not sure if I do the same with my 6 month whippet greyhound it will make him hard mouthed. ?

Eating rabbit does not make a dog harded mouthed.Maybe be something to do with the bull in him.

skin the rabbit first because if you feed it with the fur on when the pup starts catching he might just want to eat it. when he is retrieving caught rabbits to hand you can feed with the fur on.

Rabbit has got NO goodness in it all all for dogs they are a shit source of food for your running dog, go to the butchers and get the bits fat and off cuts of meat they throw away everyday, it's usually free because they have to pay to get rid of it, and trust me this is very good source of food for ur dogs, they turn fat straight in to energy where as if u feed ur dogs rice and pasta the dog has to transform the carbs in to fat and then in to energy hope this helps

rabbits are higher in protein than beef,venison,pork,chicken. Is this not good for the dogs?

I don't agree with that rabbit has a low source of protein compared with the other meats, in our local farm shop they sell frozen packs of meat rabbit , chicken , beef and fish and even in then pack it says on the protein percentage and rabbit is the lowest if I am Wong I am sorry but I am pretty sure that's [BANNED TEXT] it is

I have just remembered even darcy said in the book SCOOBY that he fed him on venison as it was one of the best sources of protein other wise he would of fed him rabbit lol

I was told rabbit was low in fat and low in protien and that rabbit should not be used as a sole source of food because how low the protine is.also many of the old trappers who set trails through he ammericas died due to rabbit been so low in protien.....seen it on a documentry lol
