Getting A New Vessel.

Well following the funeral of Mary's dad we did manage to get it out on the water last night for a quick blat around Brancaster bay. Performed as expected, planed well, even with only a 6hp engine!

Stable too, easy to maneuver, but because she is a surface vessel (sitting on not in the water) you do have to watch her in strong currents as you do get shoved around a bit.

Without us on the boat floats (laden with engine) in ankle deep water, in shin depth you can row, knee depth allows trimmed use of the outboard! Get in deep (over knee) water and you can drop the outboard down and open her up to full, great boat!

Update on boat. Given up on Maylander restoration, she is going to take too much time we don't have now. So that has been disposed of, as has the little 400 and outboard. She who must be obeyed decided to combine both into one, she has bought a 6020 with a 30hp Yamaha engine.

Capable of operation in much the same depth of water, this 15ft long, 6 ft in the beam behemoth is capable of navigating safely in seas with 7 ft waves! Stealthy we will give you a shout in the summer, you can stand on the seafront at Skegness and watch us blast past!
