Warwickshire Countryside Day Inter Hunt - T&l Show

The main arena kicks off with Howard Kirby and the Mullenscote Gun Dog team at 10.00am and will also include falconry, ferrets, gaze hounds and terrier racing. Always a highlight will be a our parade of Hounds, get a chance to see some of the most distinct breeds of hound from across the County plus there’s Side Saddle by The Flying Foxes and an inter-hunt competition with teams from around the UK taking part. We are presenting a range of countryside demonstrations in a continuous arena programme to entertain and inform.

 

A main activity at the show will be the Clay Shoot competition run by Throckmorton Shooting. The 40 bird Competition Sponsored by Hunter Boot allows you to enter as many times as you wish and there are Ladies and Junior prizes to win.

Expert tuition is available from The Countryside Alliance and BASC on our tuition stands.

 

Dogs feature highly at the show and the Terrier & Lurcher Show is a qualifier for the Countryman’s Weekly Champion of Champions to be held at Midland Game Fair 2014 and in addition Lurcher Racing will be added to the show. Worcestershire Gundog club are running a Novice, Open and Fun steeplechase competition. Bring along the family dog and enter our fun family dog show with classes such as ‘Dog with the Waggiest Tail’ and if you’re feeling energetic we are running a Have a Go Dog Agility ring with Swift Dog Training.

 

Trade stands and organisations from around the UK, local foods, archery and lots more to offer a family fun day out.

 

The main ring events will start at 10.00am and admission is £8 for adults and under 15 free. The event will be held at Hatton Country World is located just off the A4177 between Warwick and Solihull. For more information contact Sara-rutherford@countryside-alliance.org

      QUALIFIERS are available to GB SHOW ORGANISERS for the following CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
                                                     at the IRISH GAME FAIR, Shanes Castle, Antrim on the 29/30 June.
      1. FIVE NATIONS WHIPPET CHAMPIONSHIP
      2. FIVE NATIONS LURCHER CHAMPIONSHIP
      3. FIVE NATIONS TERRIER CHAMPIONSHIPS
      4. MASTER MC GRATH LURCHER CHALLENGE  Two dogs to qualify from each show ( over and under 23")
      5. MICK THE MILLER CHALLENGE for Traditional HAIRY LURCHERS any size. Two to qualify from each show. 
      EACH CHAMPIONSHIP HAS £200 to the Winner £50 to the Runner Up plus other prizes and quality trophies.   As the 31st ANNUAL All Ireland Championships ( Showing & Racing) also take place this weekend ( which are open all ) qualifiers can have a real opportunity to compete for titles and prizes with the best of Irish dogs. 
      To recognise the additional costs of coming to the event for GB qualifiers, they get FREE tickets to the show and special ferry and accommodation rates and each GB qualifying event organiser gets £50 for their best in show winner.

      Show time again folks! 
      Fell and moorland wtc are holding in there summer show again in good old Lancashire. 
      Get yourself and the family down to support this club. All the cash made gose back to the members if they have a dog stuck and need a rescue. 
      All the usual classes for the terriers and the running dogs. Champion bull X  and child handler for the kids! 
      And Anyone wanting to show there Bedlingtons we have a class for them as well. 
      Qualifiers for champion of champions at the Midlands, Pride of the peaks and more! 
      Food and drinks available on site, trade stalls welcome

      Classes for working terriers, lurchers, whippets and bushing dogs (crossbreds)
