Off slip. A dog will never catch owt if it's tied to a piece of rope.

My old lurcher, was only ever on a lead on the road. Lamped at heel off the slip, and ran on cue. But I wasnt working at that time and was spending a lot of time out with her.

Daytime, never on a lead. Hunted up along witg the terrier cross, handy dog fr pheasants. But a mad notion on squirrels. Would go all moon eyed staring up into the trees

Off for me, my dog stays close by and seems to be in the right place most of the time for a run. Went out with a mate couple of nights ago so worked the two dogs off of the slip and hated it.

If lamping more than one, then only one off, saves the mistakes. Unless I'm lamping with others, then on slip.

Yeah it was handy, but it was just me and the dog. Never lamped witg other people. And I was spending a lot of quality time out with her day and night.

How do you like to work yours? And why?

I would just like to work one of the useless feckers,can,t take them out lamping as they get scared of the dark,can,t work them in open spaces as they suffer from Agoraphobia,won,t jump as they are scared of heights and im sure the fecking things have rabies as they have a fear of bloody water,won,t even drink the bloody stuff,i have to hydrate them anally.The next litter,14th this decade,may solve my problematic non runners.

Never uses a slip when she lamping on her own. I do if i'm lamping with a friend & his dog.

ON! can control what's going on then never know when the odd unwanted deer might stray into the beam
