metcam

+1 however as with any anti inflammatory prolonged regular use can cause problems, you need to weigh the pro up`s and con`s. if its just a touch of soreness now and then then metcam/petcam/meloxicam every now and then will be fine, if its an old dog that requires a daily dose then i would seriously think about the side effects of long term use,

my old dog had arthritis, vet recommended daily dose of metacam, then previcox after metacam caused bloody stools....dog was dead within 8 months with kidney failure, kicking myself for not researching properly.....anti inflamatory every now and again when needed, definitely not daily.

Use something that is licensed to treat Arthritis, there are a few herbal products to do this available over the counter.

I am afraid many supplements can help joint problems but medicines are needed to actually treat a condition such as Arthritis.
