The form says Justice of the peace, Minister of religion, Doctor, Lawyer, Established Civil Servant, Bank Officer or Person of similar standing. Apart from my doctor who I have never been to I dont know anyone who fits into this category. Who do other people use? Quote Link to post

Chid 6,376 Posted July 26, 2013 Report Share Posted July 26, 2013 over here we need 2 , i got a farmer and an ex prison officer to do mine... both of them none FAC holders (infact the farmer got his FAC revoked before he signed for me ) it also says on our form a local business owner can sign it but im in NI so could be differant for us Quote Link to post

But I've got ducks Out with the shotgun last night, going for a mooch with dogs and catty in morning, then out with BOP all day tomorrow. Please note that your Countersignatory does not need to be a person of 'standing' (as shown on the application form ). It 'only' needs to be someone who has known you personally for over 2 years ( as long as they are not a relative, police officer/ employee or a registered firearms dealer.) Hope this helps.
