Guest Pat
Just got some new permission and when we went for a look around we saw quiet a few hares and just want to ask what is the best time of year to start a dog on hares? as I dont want to be running leverets. Itll probably be next season when my dogs old enough. Quote Link to post
IanB 0
I would wait till after summer as soon as the fields are down get the dog some easy kills build his confidence up as long as the ground is ok, fair law and game go out the window when a young dogs getting brought on with me anyway, they need as much help as they can. This coming month the hares that are really on form are at the top of their league, a real test for a running dog. Quote Link to post
