People fed bread and milk because they didn't know any better MILK IS BAD FOR FERRETS .... Ferrets are lactose intolerant and milk just scats straight through them ... Just look at the yellow squirts

Maybe with all that exotic breeding there's something missing in its diet like Friday night caviar .Mate there all the same a ferret and since you think yours is so wee you should of been pumping m

I have bred plenty of micros and they don't come on any slower than a a normal ferret kit FFS all they are is a small ferret nothing special .........

1 There greyhound cross micro ferret

2 Cold water for heat stroke is bad as it brings temp down to quick & can make them go into shock

3 Due to there small size they take longer to come on.Of course you guys have bred them for years so would no that

4Thank you guys that gave helpful advice on nutrition

5 If you haven't got anything constructive to say,why say anything!

Just get some flesh into um mate . Let um get inside a rabbits rib cage and have a good bloody chomp and suck

It will take a lot of pressure of the jill.

My kits are coming upto a month and they like little pirahanas

Out of interest . . . . a couple of questions. . . . .

What was the logic behind breeding greyhound x micro types???

Surely the two sorts are at odds with each other, one having a long, lean body. . . . . the other being.. ,. . . . . well. . . . micro!

What did you hope to produce, and what did you actually get?

Also i'm a little stumped at the small size / coming on thing. If they are slow to come on, possibly they are just genetically weaker, because otherwise it doesn't really make sense. . . . an animals size shouldnt dictate the length of time before it can eat solid food.

1 they're ferrets.

2 no one advocated ice cold water, cold water would reduce the temp.

3 Crap, size doesn't matter, that's like saying terriers take longer to wean than lurchers.

4 You're welcome.

5 Everyone who offers advice thinks they're being constructive.

the easiest way to take preasure off your jill is to get them weaned onto

carcasses as soon as possible, theres no difference between micro

ferrrets and normal sized ferrets if yours take longer to wean then they

might be weak deformed animals, and it sounds like youve bred a litter

in the past aswell

So what's the advantage of a micro ferret over a normal size one ?

I've been ferreting for 60+ years and have had all types

and colours of ferrets the so called micro ferret is nothing but a fad

as is the colours of the ferrets or the colour of their eyes.

You can name the micro ferret as a runt because thats how

they came about breed one runt to another and eventually

you get micros.

Some say they are better because they don't disturb nets so much

the locator still catches on the nets, some say they don't kill in

if they came upon a big buck it could do some serious damage to

any ferret especially a micro.

A ferret is a ferret is a ferret and all special made up names for them

is a load of crap.
