DEAN R 26
Just got back from my local pit lamping and decided to take my 2 year old patt bitch with me.the start of the night was very still with not even a breeze and was plenty of rabbits out but also plenty of ferrel cats and foxes.after 10 mins into our walk my dog takes off after something and seconds later returns with her first fat rabbit of the night. 2 minutes later again she gets another. I was struggling to spot the rabbits as the grass was very very long probably due to all the rain and then bang straight in the head about 40 yards and of she went to fetch it 2 -1 to her .after that It went quite dead misty and cold and was a good half hour round the pit top when I had my second hiding deep in the long grass .in the end my trusty sludged up stinking terrier got her 3rd of the night and put me to shame not bad to say she hasn't been for about 8 month !!!!! Think I will take the jack Russell next time as he hasn't been for a while either Quote Link to post
