The one 8,397
I doubt it because why is there no rabbits in that area in the first place . no good habitat , disease, poaching etc ? so why should other rabbits survive more so pet shop rabbits who dont have a clue in the wild Quote Link to post
Tug 168
Releasing any animal without proper provision for it's welfare and safety is abandonment under the Animal Welfare Act. You would have to be certain that the area you release them in could support them, had adequate food and shelter. It's one of the reasons that the RSPCA always deny "releasing" foxes, because it's abandonment pure and simple. Quote Link to post
The one 8,397
Theres a list they could /should be prosecuted for releasing back into the wild but nobody bothers Rabbits grey squirrels etc all not native species Quote Link to post
OldhamLad 66
In reply to THE ONE, The area used to sustain a rabbit population but lanfill was thrown over the area for the rabbits by the gas board, Because of the way oldham is made up some areas are land locked by urban environments so its almost impossible for rabbits to move around certain areas! The one 8,397
It can be done but say you go to all the bother and you get a healthy population of rabbits whats to stop it being poached etc and you see nothing for your work?. Quote Link to post
