Digging Spade??

im looking for a good cheap digging spade, that wont snap when digging,and is light weight. anyone know where i can get one from? thanks in advanse, ft

Military supply store, when i was in the army we had a cracking folding one used to dig through everything;)

I would go for the Bulldog make, some like the rabbit grafter which i use, and others prefer the round mouth. its a matter of preference.

I purchased mine 35 years ago, and have never needed to replace anything.

And its seen a lot of work.

Bulldog gear is bloody good, strong and lasts well, I have used the grafts and round mouths also and they are good quality.

 

I would shop around for a better price however.

I have a bulldog rabbiting spade but have found it wanting in anything other than the shallowest digs. The angle of the neck is too small so it's no good for lifting earth.

 

Now got one of these

Still keep the rabbiter in the boot in case we have any root work to do.
