Wiring Lamp To Lithium Battery

alrite lads just treated myself to a 14amp lithium battery and lightforce lamp .its got the cigarette conector which is rubbish .can i just wire it up straite to the battery as ive noticed theres a fuse on the lamp cigarette connector .does there need to be an inline fuse ? Cheers

I would use an in line fuse stops bulbs from blowing

be carefull how you rewire anything on a lithium, best just to secure the one thats on it with tape although a few lads have changed the plugs over to a better type

My lance one is shit.. like a sloppy fanny.. all i did was tape it in place when i used it..with lekky tape......

but now my tracer 140 is tight as feck no tape no messing on

As raw say's you will loose any warrenty if you tamper..just tape everything up like Paulus said and grin and bare it till the warrenty run's out's..who know's you might get used to it..i have with my cigar socket type fitting..

I've got a two piece microphone connector on mine. Brilliant and solid.

Have put pics on before but there on another PC so can't now.

I did that at first taped the cigar socet up, real nice and tight, and it was great for a while,,, but eventually the solder on the inside of the socket gave way,,,

I unscrew the socket and put a ball of tape around the wire near the solder..then srew it back together the tape will act like a kind of plug and stop the soldered wire from being pulled ..
