Ok so I am a pest keep putting these on but would a .410 do for dispatch or what? Didn't know if a 12 was too much overkill what's everyone else use? Please don't mug me off as I'm trying to get into this but trying to find out bits first nd get sum experience as (no offence) u lot are a hard bunch to get to trust nd need to get out with someone lol

pre fer .410 to .22

A 3 inch chambered 410 has the same lbs per square inch as a 2 1/2 inch 12 bore cartridge and providing you are close enough a. 410 would be ample and do a much cleaner job atb dig deeper

Do you have a pistol or shotgun ?

I prefer a .22 myself no noise no mess and a hell of a lot quieter when your terrier is still attached to the game.

410 if you are only using for dispatch but 12 bore is more versatile as it can be used to cover holes in the case of a bolt or if you want to knock some cover through for a flush but still fine for close range dispatch.
