longrunsfox 2 Posted January 2, 2013 Report Share Posted January 2, 2013 (edited) my mate is selling a draglure at a gd price an i was goin 2 buy it an use it 2 keep my dogs fit over the summer an also 2 help bring my pups on. was wondering wats people opinions on them will they make the dog less of a hunter as the draglure stop before the dog catches it? any ones opinions on them would help as iv never used 1 before an always thought it was more for racen greyhounds etc. thanks Edited January 2, 2013 by longrunsfox Quote Link to post
socks 32,253 Posted January 2, 2013 Report Share Posted January 2, 2013 Lures can be a good way to get a pup interested in chasing and can help build up stamina and early pace .... As for the dog not catching then slow the lure down before the end so the youngster always catches and builds up it confidence .... A lure machine will never substitute getting the dog out amongst game but it is a useful tool to aid in the bringing on of a youngster .......... 3 Quote Link to post
