sako 75 or mannlicher classic?

Recommended Posts

I've got both, synthentic 75 in 6.5x55 and a half stock Mannlicher in .270. The Mannlicher is a much "nicer" rifle, lighter and better looking, but unless I'm shooting Reds I take the Sako every time. The Sako is a great bit of kit (a bit heavy with a scope and bipod), but shoots really well and needs almost no looking after even when it's been pouring down all day. HTH

There you go listen to someone who has both !

But remember heavy barrels are supposed to be ideal for target work, not always true as the heat of them ruins the image seen through your scope, and are a pain to carry too far,

Unless you are doing lots of range work a medium or sporting barrel profile is the way to go
