Ferrets and mice

Has anyone worked their ferrets on mice before I've been asked to use my ferrets to thin out a mice problem for the national trust. I've only just started working my ferrets this year they've been out a couple of times on rabbits just don't know if they'd be any good for mice any advice welcome cheers

That's what I thought but don't no weather to try it to keep them happy and maybe get more permission off them to ferret properly and shoot on

When I had my kits i found a dead mouse that the dogs had killed and the littleuns ate if, hope this helps lmao

only thing with mice is the ferrets will prob eat it as soon as they kill it , problem with that is that if the mouse has eaten poison then the stinker will absorb it too !

How the hell will a ferret fit down a mouse hole? Ferreting works on the premise that quarry flees the pursuing predator. All a mouse has to do is rocket into a small gap or hole.

Ferrets are a waste of time on mice as has been said the mice will live in places far to small for a ferret to enter and secondly a mouse it far to fast and flighty for a ferret to get anywhere near ... I tried and tried as a kid to ferret mice and never ever had any success ... Traps are the simplest and best option .........

Chalkwarren is keeping quiet as he has written a new book on tackling mice with dogs and ferrets, 'Tales of a Mice'ing man',

It has chapters on conditioning dogs and ferrets to take mice, what age you should enter dogs and the best breed.

when we moved house once and i dismantled the ferret court there was a large colony of mice living under the slabs safest place in the garden i suppose
