bird 9,594
at what age would it be too late to breed from my bitch? they norm say 3-4th season is the best time for her 1st litter, so if older prob wouldnt go behind 5 years old Quote Link to post
sowhat 1,572
I would say about 5 years old is a good age, give the bitch time to prove herself Having said this, I've just bred from my 8 yr old bitch with no problems, but only because she has missed twice before, and I really wanted pups from her. Also she's always been kept fit and well. Quote Link to post
Chid 6,376
second season is to late ... get them bred on the first season they have id say no age is to late as long as the bitch is fit and healthy Quote Link to post

No wild dogs going to live past 8 i wouldnt of thought,Plus in the case of wolves only the alpha female breed,so if it aint strong enough to hold top spot it aint breeding any way.Personally i would push it to8 if the bitch was fit.
