irishnut 297 Posted November 3, 2012 Report Share Posted November 3, 2012 they do CUSTOM knives, as long as your not looking custom made to your specs and designs. because its too much hard work. yeah whats that ment to mean ? do you actualy have the budget to commision something like that ? yes, i was expecting the cost to be around the £250-300 for each knife. when i asked a few on here and other places to make 2 knives to my design, i was told they didn't have time etc, it was excuses all over the place. p.s don't try to belittle me with questions on my finiancial credability, you mong Link to post Share on other sites

Mine is made from a high carbon stainless (think its called sd40- I'll check) . Mates was done in o1 tool due to his inaility to use a sharpener very well. Micarta doesn't seem a glamorous handle choice for such a high end custom mind? Wouldn't you have gone for something really high end, burl wood or something really ornate? Has anyone actually really tested midnights knives, to say if their great or crap. They look the part, but can they handle the work. Stock removal is great method of making knives, as you should know! The really important aspect is metal quality and hardening process. I don't want a knife to just look pretty it has to work. As for epoxy, their is obviously more types out there than you know off mr midnight. But I didn't want permanent scales, so no worries there Link to post Share on other sites
