Fair enough, to be honest I wouldn't even get the dog out of the truck on some of that flint down there, it's lethal.

I never seen the dog in the flesh ,but i have read the book .he seemed like a good dog that got the work put infront of him,by an owner that put the time and effort in ,if some of the crappers on here done the same ,they might have a dog worth writing about.

i was talking to a lad that seen the dog run when J.D brought him over to Ireland,he reckoned the dog was a good grafter and J.D was a sound bloke that enjoyed the game and was willing to travel anywhere for a days sport

Sooo, a man had a dog, caught loads of game, had the ability to write (and sell) what is by all accounts a good book, thought very fondly of his dog...........and there's a 6 page thread of bitching about it???

Is this an example of the stupid British mentality that you see in the tabloids? where if someone has done well for themselves and actually achieved something then there's a queue or people wanting to drag them down and stick the knife in? If he was boasting and bragging about his dog then I can sort of understand why he might provoke this sort of thing, but it just looks like a load of jealousy and backstabbing from where I'm sitting!

Very poor!

If you want to right books about your dogs then your going take incoming from some were.

Doesnt matter if you right a book about a dog, hedge hog, meer cat or jack fukcn russel. what ever you wannna right about.

If you dont wanna take critism or other peoples opions. then im pretty sure been a author of books about your own dogs is the wrong career.

I'd reply but I haven't got a fookin clue what you're saying!

I dont even need to read this thread to figure out what has happened here ffs

God forbid someone actually put some work into getting stuff in front of their dog, did well as a result and wrote a book to share their experiences...
