How i retension a snare

Had a look at a few vids on retensioning a snare and just couldnt get the hang of it,eventually lost my temper and hey presto stumbled on a way to do it,probably not the right way but it works for me.

your definately right in one thing thats not the way to tension snares :huh: id hate to see you doing a few hundred LOL keep practicing even as you watch the telly and dont be afraid of the wire it wont break you will get there in the end nothing hard about it

i found it hard aswel,,i think someone needs to put a vid up of doing it the right way,i too got my hair off with it lol it kept bending towards me,but that wasnt too bad as i could re position it back,but it takes loads of practice to be able to use snares properly, can someone put together a little vid please,,,,,,good to see you trying though mate atb fts

ft, if you want to know how to re-tension a snare take a look a gw's pinned articles, failing that purchase woodga's dvd....there are several clips on you tube showing these methods including one by Trapworks.

This vid shows you how to do it but i tried it and could as hell do it,the vid i done was done to show the way i do it,i can do them much quicker than i did on the vid,too be honest i will only be setting a few and it works for me,certainly would be interested in doing it the "correct way"
