jengledow 0
Hi, I've recently bought a cheap(ish) SxS, but being a lanky git the stock is too short for me, I'm currently using a rubber recoil pad with cardboard inside to get the right length, but it keeps moving around and is quite annoying. As I need to extend the stock by about 50mm (2") I think it would look much nicer done in wood (plus I'd quite like the project). So here's the question, where can I get a suitable piece of timber from? Thanks. Quote Link to post
PLEDGEY 493
Google 'The Wychwood Project'. Click on 'Woodland Management', then on ' Suppliers of Local Wood'. Should be able to help, if not they can probably tell you who can. Quote Link to post
jengledow 0
Hi, I'm still having problems sourcing a suitable piece of wood, but I've found several walnut planks, How strong would it be and how good/bad do you think it would look if I were to glue 2 or 3 (depending on thickness of plank used) layers of plank together and use that and has anyone seen it done elseware (if so any pics would be greatly appreciated)? Thanks. Quote Link to post
