jaycey001 0 Posted September 5, 2012 Report Share Posted September 5, 2012 Hi all, Still searching for a cheap dog bus, Noticed a 2001 sportage with a 2.0 petrol engine going cheap near me,. Anyone had one, or have any opinions? Just want somthing to chuck dogs in and go to a few shoots etc. Are they reliable, i hear the engines are Mazda sourced? Thanks in advance James. scarecrow243 24 Posted September 5, 2012 Report Share Posted September 5, 2012 Hi i had a 2001 model they are ok driving and fuel economy is ok but the petrol tanks on them are well known for rusting at the top fuel line below the back seat there is a cover to remove then have a look at it before you buy it other wise there not too bad Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Picked up the sportage for £600 if i get a years relativly trouble free motoring ill be happy, and at that price if i wreck it with dogs things i wont be too worried. Drives well and already has some nice A/Ts on. Just to confirm the fuel economy is shite, think my old 2,5 V70 was better! Quote Link to post Share on other sites
