do you guys get the instant experts that know more about your dog than you after seeing it for 10 secs, i had a half cut idiot the other night asking me about my "greyhound" i politely told him its a lurcher and was told in no uncertain terms it was too big to be a lurcher and had to be a greyhound, i think more thought goes into 90% of lurcher breeding than the morons that get born round here

I like it when you tell these small syndicate shooting lads that you run a lurcher, they get a look on their face like they have just caught you balls deep in their Granny then come out with some bullshit about " how they knew a bloke with a lurcher once who was a nice lad and they had one themselves years back blah blah blah "

You know some of my mates then funny isnt it how these same guys when granted the shooting rights suddenly become landowner and gamekeeper.

Myth No 1 The bitch contributes 60% 70% or even 80% of the genetic make up of the pups, COBBLERS the bitch contributes 50 % just like the sire. Myth No 2 Always put the speed on top ie greyhound sire collie bitch same again COBBLERS. Funny story I was once asked by a Police Officer whilst being quizzed as to why I was forty miles from home exercising my rough coated Deerhound type lurcher, Is that a Suzuki , to which I replied yes officer. He looked quite pleased with himself as he told me to get myself home before it starts to rain. True story.
