jimster68 123
with all the rain we,ve had this year ,does anyone think it could have had any affect on the rabbit population ?. what i mean is do you think they would have bred more or less? will disease be more or less ? theres going to be more food about and cover .less flying insects due to all the rain so how do you think it will affect the season coming . have you noticed more rabbits than usual or less . will the wet weather help to stop mixy spreading ?. ..........................jim Quote Link to post

The one 8,397
Early on we where pushing large numbers of young rabbits into the cover , since then ive pick up waterlogged crows ,magpies and buzzard fledglings but no dead young rabbits . A warm autumn and i think some good ferreting can be had Quote Link to post
28xxgeo 28
Personally think its been good and bad for population some later young rabbits i know have drowned down the holes on one of my patches few other bits were there on higher ground seem to be thrieving but cant get at them till late winter due to the cover there in so think its 50/50 depends on the terrain you work i suppose Quote Link to post
kinderbeano 13
i agree with '28xxgeo' .depends on how well drained your ground is..land drains well around me and rabbits have exploded this year..myxi is starting to show now tho but that could be down to more numbers of rabbits = more oppertunity for disease.
