_{the old bitch does not let me go anywhere near her feet she goes mad there was 3 of us two vets and me i had the back legs and the vet had the bitchs head}

_{vet got tick out first it was in her neck i sead let me get the head she well go of it it be ok he says lol ok vet went to get her leg that was it had to put the muzzle}

_{on her got one foot done vet says she is strong for a old dog that is the first time had them nails cliped in 12 years she does not get out as much now my lab}

_{and over bitch are fine never had to do them get lots of work i think 10 pound 60p was not a lot of money one more thing i do not have the stuff to stop the blood}

Well you have a young dog now, why dont you learn to clip nails. Introduce the dog to the clippers and dont make a big deal about it. FFS its clipping nails not heart surgery. Use a file if your scared to clip them.

Never have a problem with tick's and i do my own dog's nail's regular..on the vet's subject my bro had a old little terrier that would nearly have a fit through getting that worked up when his nail's needed doing and he had to take it to the vet's every time they needed doing.. ionce tried to do them and the poor dog nearly had a heart attack and was frothing at the mouth..

My terrier goes nuts when I try cutting her nails. Last time I tried she screamed and tried nipping me, the wife screamed at me for hurting her, I screamed at the fecking wife that I didn't hurt her, then the three year old screamed that we were all hurting his ears, so bollocks to cutting the terriers nails again, if it needs doing she's off to the vet!

It's not hard to cut too much of especialy with black or dark nail's as it is hard to see the quick/vein..personaly i don't think there is anything wrong with going to the vet's if you are not confident in cutting them...i know of several people who can't bring them self's to doing there dog's nail's..but like i say i do my own dog's when needed and my older dog has dark nail's and he does not get out as much.. i often hit the quick on his nails but they sharp stop bleeding..

I can stitch a dog, restrain a dog, even fight tooth for tooth with a dog, but cutting nails is the thing i hate the most. I always get white toed dogs if i can for that very reason

When friends come to visit they always get asked to cut the dogs nails for me
