I like to think that this is the "Old type Deerhound, Rough Greyhound, Scottish Greyhound", whatever the deerhound of old was called .

Was delta Beddy - deerhound Mix ? ?

 

Her Sire was Pat Blewitts 1st cross Beddy/Grey, "Flynn" from Heartbreak Fell kennels. Her dam was Gins "Maegan", Deer/Grey x Whippet/Grey. She is a fraction under 23" and is around 40 lb. A good all rounder, she'll be hard to replace.

Just to get back on topic; I've ran dogs on grouse moores,, but I'd rather run them on field or fen than on heather moors !

Meny a tail could be told of days on the moors one of my most memrobile one's was [bANNED TEXT] some mates came up from london for a day on them lol

Yes it were mate till the old bill got us after a keeper had first pulled us going on in the morning and the old bill came later and a few of the london boys thought it were funny to winde them up though it did stop them from finding a large rucksack full of hares lol

I will have to dig my diaries out as you can tell with us all wearing the old wax proof jackets this was some years back and i always wore tracky bottoms mostly for comfort walking in deep heather.Most of the dogs their were saluki hybreds.

They couldent find the hares [bANNED TEXT] they questioned us at the pick up point and it was our word against the keepers even though you could tell they were pissed off they let us go.
