The Duncan 802
Having shouldered and played with a few .243's, I've settled on a Sauer 202 Elegance. Pricey, but not as pricey as some. I didn't feel the Blaser was worth the extra thousands and the Sauer just oozes quality. Anyone got one? If so, what do you think of it? Cheers Duncan. PS - now just got to wait for the variation to hit the mat! Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
Ahh.. a man of discerning taste. I have a Sauer 202 in 6.5x55 - very smooth action & lovely balance. I did, however, find that the trigger break was set pretty damn hard for my liking and only (ie yesterday) bothered to look up how to adjust it. Mine has a composite stock so its more the 202 'roughneck' but still a smooth piece of kit. In all honesty I haven't shot terribly well with it recently but I think thats more because i'm so in love with the Zeiss and trigger combo on my .223 that i've lost the feel of my 6.5... obviously need some more schmoosing time with the old girl Edited June 12, 2012 by Yokel Matt Quote Link to post
quicksilver 0
I have the 202 elegance in 6.5x55 and it will group well any rounds you can fit in the chamber from 95gr-140gr. I liked the rifle so much I changed my 223 to a Sauer 202 and can't see me changing either anytime soon Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
Good news guys, thanks. I've been the 'buy cheap, buy twice' route with a different calibre and didn't want to horse trade any more. Just want to buy it once. Quote Link to post
