albert64 1,882 Posted June 1, 2012 Report Share Posted June 1, 2012 can someone shed some light on this for me please I was filling the hw100 up yesterday and I could hear air coming out of where the fill probe enters the cylinder, so I changed the 2 o'rings on the probe and its still happening is there an o'ring on the gauge on the end of the cylinder that might need changing or is it a shop repair thanks albert Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701 Posted June 1, 2012 Report Share Posted June 1, 2012 Might just be you have not got the probe seated properly or you have not tightened up where the the probe screws into the air hose! Make sure all connections are tight and that the probe is securely located. Quote Link to post

matt_hooks 188 Posted June 3, 2012 Report Share Posted June 3, 2012 Whoever mentioned greasing the O-rings, you might want to think again. "Grease" and compressed air are not a good mix. If you need to lubricate the O-rings (there's no real reason you should) then you need to use a non flammable lubricant, such as a silicon grease, and definitely NOT a petroleum based grease. I normally just lick a finger and rub that around the O-ring. It gives enough lubrication to slide the probe in properly without any risk. Quote Link to post
