I've just got back from two days at Selby, and my missus has been there since thursday, and we can't understant the comment about the toilet blocks ? There was a block of at least 20 toilets next to where our caravans and tents were ! OK, It weren't the greatest show, but I thought it was no better or worse than any other "Gamefair"; there was pleanty of country clothing and supplies stands around. I thought the organisation of the Lurcher show was shambolic, but the judging seemed OK. We enjoyed seeing and spending time with a lot of mates, and I had the good fortune to have a craic with two lads from Antrim, who had some stunning looking Borzoi/Saluki/Greyhound crosses with them. I go to very few shows now, but I enjoyed this one.

Cheers.

i entered the under 6 month rough puppy in he "lurcher" class, there was 5 entries and 3 placements, but the dog that came 2nd was just a tall bedlington?! deffo want a beddy whippet or anything, maybe 3/4 beddy, but thats not a lurcher in the lurcher class? i know it sounds like im being a jealous twat, but need to be sorted, if i didnt enter the class i would still think its a bit shoddy...

we went on sunday and it was the first time we have been to this one. We were surprised there was no programme to buy (that we could find anyway) so we never had a scoobies what events were. happening , also it took us 3/4 of an hour to find the lurcher racing no signposts or anything and had to ask half a dozen people before anybody could tell us directions.. there was no tannoy over that part either so people just shouting stuff out not always easy to hear over barking. The judges seem ready to empty their balls over Bull crosses for some reason as well and our Deer/Grey didn't get a look in, almost felt embarrased to show her.

Was it with a woman ? I think I saw the same dog, and commented that I thought it was pure Beddy !

I wasn't there lads so didn't see the dog but some beddy xs look very much like 1 or the other, especially if it's beddy x to beddy x time and time again they can throw either way, although how you can tell with an under 6 month pup I don't know? Seen smooth black beddy x pups turn into grey wooly dogs.
