Currently on my land there are 4 of us that have permission to shoot firearms, .22 .17hmr and .243 what is the general rule, any ideas please. Thank you. Quote Link to post
tegater 789
There is no rule, but the licensing department are not fools, and they will pick up on landowners who are allowing people to use their land as "an excuse" for getting a ticket. 1 Quote Link to post
Jesse James 2
Thank you tegater. That's pretty much what I thought, so a small syndicate of 6 shooters by rights could all have permission on the same land. as the owner has allowed us to form a syndicate to shoot and cover all of his land. or is this another grey area... cheers again. Yes. If you have formed a syndicate that is evidence that you all have the intention of shooting on that land. (pending what you all say on interview of course!) Atb. Quote Link to post

Ask the landowner as they are the only person who will know who currently has permission. Written permission is only valid if it still has the consent. For example it is nothing to do with the expiry date of your ticket, so somebody who once had permission and has it listed on their ticket, may not actually have it in reality. If that makes sense. If you have bought the shooting rights, then you have the say on who shoots on it. If you have bought the land, then you have the say who shoots on it. It is possible though to buy land, but not the sporting rights, as the previous owner may retain them, but you would know that at the time of purchase. Quote Link to post
