A brother sister mating from which a bitch was again put back to the sire produced this dog. Like the rest of the litter he is bursting with health and vitality and hes slightly bigger than both of hi

mC you are totally wrong about a terrier not being a performance athlete, a terrier gone to ground working Fox and Badger (historically) pushes its body through the pain barrier more than any other ca

my old bitch bred like that she thrived on lots of stick n the stronger the hares the better for her.

So what is the idea behind line ‘ in breeding ? Surely just because 2 dogs are related this is not a line ? Surely only if faults / defects occur then you cull hard ? Are coursing dogs really line bred then ?

just back from mooching dogs and kids ron

linebreeding is breeding distant relatives with desirable traits

no top greyhounds are inbred are they ? the best horses in the world are not inbred linebreeding in horses is sharing ancestors 4 or more generations back

only hillbilly’s with game dogs inbreed and cull hard as you say once defects arise you can get away with a lot more when a dog is hid away and used for fighting

think blacky if the best and fastest greyhounds in the world the fastest horses and even the best coursing dogs are not inbred what makes you think it’s wise to breed brother sister ? ?

Pigeons grandfather to grand daughter etc but beauty is there time frames quicker turn around can figure things out pretty quickly if a outcross breeding hasn’t worked and cull hard infact you don’t even have to cull if it doesn’t come home it’s not good enough simple

but i guarantee anyone serious isn’t flying scatter bred stuff they’ll have certain different family’s of pigeons and in split lofts

but if for example someone not as good lands on the golden once in a life time bird up there in all the club races then the nationals what does he do put it to every hen he can along with sons that have done feck all and guess what happens out of those eggs …… nothing

Alright don't get flustered ? right so say we had 2 half crosses brother and sister and we lined them there both half greyhound and half summat else there plenty of different genes flying about ,then if there good dogs do we put a bitch back 2 the sire or is that 2 close
