I do both,   I do prefere to lamp for the car when its possiable, Cause you do see more game round me by doing that if i tryed to walk the land we drive at night it would take me a fornight on foot.

Ya but there arse-holes they very same thing happens while on foot, Leaving game worrying stock gates left open fences cut ect ect, Youll get the idoits EVERYWHERE   When i say driving land i mean d

Do some folk do that? Whats the point in that then. Surely now you are giving the advantage to the game you run as the dogs will be getting tired? I'll just go back to the other point about 'turning

Foot everytime.

From a vehicle is Shameless lamping-Hunting.

Feet on the Ground and Work with your dog.

Can't agree with that max, if you have got 3-5 thousand acres to cover then a truck or gator is very much the order of the day

Under a thousand can be walked easily, but you would do well to cover more in a night than that IMHO.......

I think some folk have the wrong idea with what way some folk lamp from a 4x4 cos the dogs run along the side of the car in a sense ur not dropping the dogs off as soon as u see a bunny cos u will be getting dogs in and out of the car all night long and I can see why some folk don't like the idea off it from the tales I've read on here were folk are cutting fences and wrecking fields and smashing gates which for the life of I can not understand why u would have too cut a fence too lamp but I can see why there is a negative view but if there was any damage done while I was lamping I know I would be the one that has too fix the next day so I think u have too look at the individual person lamping and not the idea of it

Just save some of ya thousands of acres for another night.

Depends how the night turns out and bearing in mind it would have been a journey to get to any of the places that I goto that are that size, if it's slow you keep moving or you may be over and done in a few fields......you never know.

You know all this already so I am not telling you anything new, there's no set rules as you know but sometimes a set of wheels is the only way to get the most out of a place same as walking may be on another place. Atb
