nat 8
This season iv got a couple more hobs 1s going for the snip but I was wondering if anyone has kept hobs together. Last year I kept 2 together but they had been together since they were young all year. Cheers Quote Link to post
Trev Smilerface 38
Ive never had a problem with hobs together.....i rescued 5 ferts last year and 3 were hobs and put them in with my hob and never had a problem. My first two ferts were hobs many years ago, from different homes and never had a problem neither. Quote Link to post
nat 8
So maybe it's worth a try or I'm going to have to get more hutches :/ Quote Link to post
TOMO 24,843
i keep two hobs together ,, all winter in the court with the jills,, then from march till august there together in a cage ,, they do squable and scrap a bit but nothing to seriouse... but i think some hobs can be very agresive to others,,, bit of trial and error Quote Link to post
dougie_s410k 1
It will vary on the actual hob, i have had three hobs together with only minimal squabbling and also two hobs that are the most placid little sods ever. But the hob i use most for ferreting can not be housed with any other ferret at all or he will not leave them alone! Brilliant to handle and whilst out hunting he will leave a hole and run back to me and follow me around but the bugger can not get on with any other ferret. Its trial and error :-) Quote Link to post

coursing lee 1
i find that my two jills fight more than my hobs! just like humans......''girls are worse than boys'' lol 1 Quote Link to post

oli one shot 3
best thing to do is let them meet face to face but keep one in the cage do this for 1 week'' 2 or 3 times a day then hold them both and just slowly put them down and see what they are like most only get funny when a lady is around Quote Link to post
