I agree bunnys but the dog we are talking about is Lurcher x Collie..there is very little sighthound in him so imo and mine only i think he could throw a canny pup by mateing a grey/whippet or a 3/4 bred or such then perhaps one of those back into the strain? ATB Andy.

I will give you my twopence worth ,just keep working dog to working dog and you will not go to far wrong but a strong working drive will carry most dogs threw a hard night,long after the speed has gone,the older dogs mostly wore the game down, if your putting up old minshaws blue as near the start of your lines,you will no he was not particularly fast, but could run the night, long after most have stopped,thats what put the game in the bag,long hours and the mutts to run it

ANDYhis there not a fast type in the line that his not a bitch ,because this being half collie his ideal to breed back into the line in itself ,he maybe a producer of speedy types .for the lamp work ,atb bunnys.

Just to add..PL ain't SH as i've just spoken to him on the phone,he's on his way home from being out with the dogs..his mate from Wigan had rang him to say he was being mentioned on here and he therefore rang me to see what had been said so we'll leave him out of it from here on i think? ATB Andy. ...Bunnys and Jacob both have valid points and we'll see what happens as time rolls by? Both our dogs have hopefully plenty more in them before WE will need to start thinking about breeding for ourselves? Plenty of gear to put to bed and then some hopefully lol.
