Hi lads,if i mix chip shop oil with wheat do the phesants like that.

if its in hoppers it will go clumpy and mouldy and won't it be much fun hand feeding I should stick to just plain good quality wheat you don't need any gimmicks to hold birds

Buy Aniseed flavorings mate, It aint cheap but they love it. You have to put all the corn through a cement mixer though which isn't so fun. I no 2 keepers that are using it with good results

I got bags off stuff to mix in with wheat called hold em drive, has kibbled maize, sunflower seeds, aniseed and other stuff mixed in.

I used to use that mate but in the end found just straight cut maize mixed with wheat is cheaper and just as effective

 

As an aside I put the use of aniseed alongside witchcraft,voodoo and black magic sure it smells nice and I have tried it with no discernible difference in return but to use the words of 2 very large feed company's when asked about its efficacy "it pulls far more keepers than it ever will birds" LOL
