Hare dogs pre ban. lets hear your opinions!

hi all, what height and what weight did you like your hare dogs to be? and what x do you all consider the best for a hare dog ( pre ban ) and dog or a bitch, for all types of ground and land.

what age did you start your dogs before the ban, i liked to start mine at 12month old on hares before the ban, i have a little saluki x here 25" tts and hes an excellent hare dog IMO for my area and to my standard pre ban, lets see pics of yours and lets here some opinions, thanks!

well ive just got a saluki wippet grew pup should turn out 25 26 inche if i were going for hares before the ban think that would be my ideal x lol

what hare dogs have you had in the past ? my bitch is just 9 month and my first lurcher so i couldnt tell ya

useto have a deer x grey x collie x grey called ruby, good dog like brindle she useto run all day

i had a little 23in bitch out of dels lukex j preistlys sally and she could run hares on any land wether it

was small paddock feild up middelham to doing 3/4min runs on the fens she was also a great ferreting/lamping bitch

25 TTs for me salxwhipxgrey or a salxgrey and would not start them till min of 15 month on hare!!

tho i've had dog's run at 10-12 month and catch them but i would not slip dog on them!!

I"ve seen some very good dogs/bitches from 23" upwards that would take hares on both big land and smaller fields and most I have to say had some saluki in their make up but with a lot of them being lurcher to lurcher breeding
