Military maxi kite night vision scope what are they worth ???

Recommended Posts

The Kite was built to kill people not vermin so with the chevron ret and parallex issue on most Kites its hard to place the shot on a rabbit or fox size target past 100yards.

They make very good spotters and can make a very good weapon sight but usually alot of money needs to be spent on them to correct the parallex and replace the chevron ret to a dutch ret, i know one person that does repairs on the kite as its a bit of a specialised job and certain tools are needed.

Most Kites are sold as gen 3 but turn out to be 25 year old gen 2 EEV tubes so be careful, second/hand price is around £1000 to £2500 depending on spec and model.

Hope this helps.

kites if set up correct with the right tube are more than capable just use the centre dot on small stuff.does not cost much to correct parallax issues if you know who to ask ;) also you can have them set to focus up close ;) quality robust scope with brill optic's  just say hi to all :bye:

i like your handle made me :D you seem to know a lot about the kite personally i havent owned one because all the people i have spoken to that use them say they'ar not accurate enough for the purpose we want to use them for. i have seen through quite a few of them though and they give a brilliant picture even with a gen 2 tube in them the bino kite I use has a mx10130 tube in it and as i have said before you can't use ir light with it or the tube will burn

hey pete mukka u sure you'v got a kite  it wont work with that tube it's a non inverted is the mx10130. the kite takes a specific tube 43mill o/diametre and it's inverted mate and they are mostly eev's but ITT and LITTON made it also. had both had some crackers with all the tube's mentioned :D catch ya soon mukka ;)

hey pete forgot you put that kite len's on a 7 chassis :icon_redface: chatch ur later mate :victory:

What are you on panicing Pete :icon_eek: why are you quoting my post ? which is 100% accurate on the kite

74 line pair an't pete  kites if set up correct with the right tube are more than capable just use the centre dot on small stuff.does not cost much to correct parallax issues if you know who to ask ;) also you can have them set to focus up close ;) quality robust scope with brill optic's  the kite will take charlie out way beyond 100 no probs been there done it :boogy:

:icon_eek: This topic started great, then it dropped to the normal forum bickering and nob measuring of who is right and who is wrong.

Nice one lads, it was a simple question from the OP which was answered fairly well by everyone apart from member with names starting with 72 or 74. Take your squabbles somewhere else children.
