MissRhianL 70
Just out of interest does anyone earn a couple of quid from doing things associated with hunting?

andyfr1968 772
Used to when I was a lad. I'd help my mates with the dogs and ferrets, and we'd sell head shot game to local butchers but that all passed years back
SLiP tHe DoG ! 129
butchers still take bunnies up here and probs would a few other things .... think its a quid a bunny
Moll. 1,793
In a round about way hunting has provided me with money, i offered my services for free to sort out their bunny problem, this then led to the mole trapping which i get paid for then led to gardening/ground maintenance work, plus loads of free wood for the fire, and the game saves me money by either feeding the animals or myself. I have also been given a washing machine when mine broke and various other things, but i do the grey squirrel control for free........ barter town
Ratreeper 441
Hunting has saved me a lot of money. A weekend ferreting bagging 40-60 or so bunnies to fill up the freezer kept the ferrets fed and extra food for the hawks. Now I just donate them to the zoo (only got 1 ferret and a rifle now) where the mrs works (they do offer 50p each but I never pay admission to look round so it seems fairer to me)
Malt 379
It feeds my ferrets & I don't have to buy much in for them over the winter, but that's about it for me.
JohnGalway 1,043
No, but it takes plenty out! Same as Wilf Myself & mate did talk about starting something of a fox control business, but with the fragmented nature of the holdings here no one would pay because either someone related to me, or someone related to him will have sheep near someone, so it's likely no one would fork out
unlacedgecko 1,467
My hunting pays for the ammo I use and the petrol to get to the hunting grounds. I have had to buy all the rifles etc myself, but it now doesn't cost me anything. Not bad for a lesiure activity I think...
Simoman 110
Female land woners pay for me to work the dogs on their land, many dont have any problem but merely like seeing me in moleskins and checked shirt.............
LAZYBSTARD 225
if your dogs keeping himself in meat its good enough

artic 595
I use to sell rabbits and eels to a lot of Italian and Indian communitys. Rabbits at £1.50 gutted, and the eels chopped and gutted at around £8 per 500g. Many a thundery night I was out. Looking back now I was crazy, armed with 2 rods dressed with 15lb line, size 2 hooks, a tin of bull heads, and dace....the sound of those cat bells ringing meant ££££
