Hello,

I'm Graeme from up North (Tyne and Wear). I've recently become interested in hunting. I joined the local gun club a couple of months back after a bit of a life-change. I'm surprised that I like the idea of hunting as I always thought it was cruel - but then isn't that how society makes us think? I've been watching a lot of videos on the internet and now believe that as long as you try to despatch your prey cleanly then you're good. I also think it brings a rudimentary quality back to your life.

I'm shooting once or twice a week with a ruger 10/22 semi-automatic and occasionally some .38's and .357 magnums. I'm about 4 months away from getting a Fire Arms License so I'm thinking about getting an air rifle so that I can hunt rabbit. I'll eat whatever I kill and give the dogs a good meal. I have two german shepherds who I'd love to train to help me, maybe to fetch the rabbits after they've been despatched - I know they're not bread for this but I've seen a couple of people use them in some form of hunting capacity.

I'm just getting started and I'm taking my time. I'm watching a lot of videos, doing a lot of reading and have started taking a much more active interest in the surrounding wildlife areas. Any help or advice in getting me on my way would be much appreciated.

Graeme
