any one tryed feeding there dogs this ?

looking into switching my dogs feed to "Red Mills Xcel Racing Greyhound Dry Dog Food" any one tryed it ?

 

this is the wright up i found:

Personally, if meat is not the first product listed in the ingredients I would not be too enthused about it.

But,each to their own.

i was using redmills racer 27% for a while, but it didn't suit my whippetx, i thought she lost weight on it and her skin was flakey, i have now moved over to gain 28%, although i only feed this twice a week and the other 5 days i feed raw, along with good excercise she is looking in good shape.

I think their just trying to get on the bandwagon where people are thinking the higher the protien level the better. Even our Spanial that was working 5-6 days a week and covering enormous distances wouldn't need that much!

It isn't the protien content you should be looking at, it's the meat content instead.

If you can lad, forget dry food and feed meat/veg/fish...........

 

how do i go about balincing the meals so my dogs are getting all of what they need ?

i have been thinking of switchinhg to a raw diet but didnt really know where to start.

Just type in RAW or BARF food in the search bar at the top , there's loads of good advice you can benefit from in this forum.
