Recommended Posts

ALRIGHT GIRLS N BOYS.

MY PUP IS 6MTHS OLD WITH THE SEASON FAST APPROACHING BUT ILL HAVE TO KEEP HER ON THE SLIPS AS I DONT WANT HER MOOCHING ALONG WITH THE OTHER MEMBERS OF MY TEAM.

I DONT WANT HER PICKING UP HABITS OF THE ADULT DOG,S THAT ARE SET IN THERE WAY,S.

SHE WILL BE A POINT AND SLIP DOG ON SPECIFIC TARGETS..

ILL PROBLY HAVE TO USE HER AS A SINGLE HANDER SO IT,LL BE A LOT OF DOUBLE SHIFFTING AT THE END OF THE SEASON.ANYBODYELSE GOING TO BE SKOOLING A S/HANDER LATER ON IN THE SEASON :hmm:

ive got a 2 n half month old saluki whippet i bred, he will be worked with the pack ( 2 terriers a whippet a saluki and 2 bull x ) in and around gorse ferreting and just basic terrier work, the dogs dont really need to run were im taking the pup, but if they can mark a bush they catch NAFF ALL! so ill start him marking the terriers waiting for a bolter when hes about 4 month, as its liturally a metre space between each bit of gorse so he wont be able to get a run but might catch a bolter, when hes learnt to mark ill start him ferreting, with nets, then no nets gradually he should learn to use the terriers or ferret if theyre there, and if its just lurchers on slips, when hes older, he will only use his eyes and run as far as he can at about 12-14 month :)
