My best night was 47, one night, only had 1, and that ran into a pole and killed itself before the dog even got to it ! A good lamper is a dog that makes the best of it's opportunities, it cant catch what isn't there.

The bitch i had would miss on her first few runs as she was very fast and would overrun the rabbit ,but after a few runs she would get her act together and a good few would have been taken from there seat.Where i lamped there were loads of rabbits.A young chap used to come with me an odd night with his 3quarter collie quarter whippet dog,it could turn on a sixpence and go all night, very efficent on the bunny's.

Likes been said its not the number thats impressive, Its more too do with the catch ratio to runs its alright putting 30 rabbits up but if youve had to run a 100 to get that number it anit really worth mentioning if you know what i mean........

we would get good numbers in september & october 20 to 30 but as the season moves on they start to dwindle a bit but the conditions have to be right (dark and windy) and bunnys that have not been lamped much before .but i once got 34 on my own one night with my 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie and by god did i have a hard time getting them back to the van i had to do 2 poxy trips back and forth to the van
