if there like the pure eu i add you wouldnt get em back when enter trust me might as well add stoats i just picked up 11 tonight 4 pure ones 7half xs of a mate who i gave the eu to 4years ago

DNA tested?

:thumbs: the ones i got was and on record for breedin perpuses the hobs /jills was released down your way on a breedin program

 

 

Thing is mate, the 'pure' polecats are genetically too similar to the hybrids to tell apart with a DNA test. . . .

he didnt have to igave him the parents 4 year ago when i took these eu they took my details in case they needed to use them the bros/sisters went to wales were they relese them. there only any good if you av a quauter eu in ya stock plus they got wovles there breedin so there might be wolves xs for sale soon on the huntin life :tongue2: get a grip man ther is genuine folk about who can put there hands on stock

The majority of guys punting eu poley crosses wouldn't be able to tell the difference between one and a dark poley .but will tell you what you want to hear as it brings in the ££££££££££'s

Would you mind me asking who these people are that are releasing captive bred polecats into the wild here in Wales? That's the first I've heard of it, seeing as Wales' own native polecat population is healthy.. :hmm: I'm not saying I don't believe you, but in my area there is absolutely no need for numbers to be increased by adding foreign blood.. :thumbs:

these wild polecats i ad was goin to wales this was 4 years ago ive only called em eu cos they turn up on ere as eu polecats mine what i got must of been pure welsh they was dna resiture i will be corrected muggin mine of as eu and not boyo bred

explains the differences twixt genes and DNA

Now how are hybrids too similar to tell apart? When the scientific facts state that certain breeds can cross breed ie hybridise finchesxcanaries,horsexdonkey etc they they produce mules that are on the whole sterile so unable to be bred from,however somethng like 5%of the females (which isnt very many)may reproduce passing on equally poor chances of the offspring also being sterile
