Now then,

 

I had a kind invite from Phil (ryan666 on here) to meet up with him at one of his permissions to thin out some collared doves.

 

It's a 2 and half hour drive from me, but I scammed the day and half a tank of diesel off work and made my way up the east coast to meet with Phil at about 8.30.

 

The permission is a chicken coop at the back of a pub car park.

 

When I arrived, Phil already had 5 in the bag with his .22 Rapid Mk2. I took both my .177 Ultra and my .22 R10 for the ride, and used both to good effect throughout the day.

 

The action was thick and fast. There's a video to come, so I won't say too much, but here's a photo of the final bag:

 

 

52. Lost track of who shot how many, but I think Phil edged just over half of them.
