deanflute 550
Your right, £5 pound is hardly a deterent when your dealing with a litter and they're selling for £150-£250 a pup, Personally I think it should be judged on how long you have been a member and if you have a good post count, Say 50 posts, And not just post saying "Hello" or "nice dog how's it bred" If people are that desperate to sell dogs they can always go on freeads or epups
johnny boy68 11,726
Having a for sale section will always bring in the undesireables ie dog peddlers with just money on there mind, other than taking the for sale section away theres not a lot you can really do to stop it. sounder 9
Classified Rules * No puppy peddlers or dog dealers on the forum, members will be removed as required ...If your only posts are consistently selling dogs.. * To combat the above, a member must be a donator to sell any livestock, this prevents members re-registering under a different alias. * Selling for friends is ok, as long as its not an animal or livestock. It must be a physical Item, the member selling this takes all responsibility . * When buying on the site, please be aware and only deal with reputable members, payments using paypal being your safest option. rikjd 8
i think it comes down to us as buyers to only deal with the members who have been on a while with good post count etc i know if i was buying a dog over a forum id like to be able to think that the person selling isnt just a peddlar and someone who i will be able to contact in the future if need be. What differnce does that make you buy a dog or anthing out the paper your buying it blind as well you dont know till you go to see it what condition its in how the property is etc . rikjd 8
if you can check someones profile and see if theyve been a member on here for a long time with a good reputation to other members and are known personally by a few then it makes all the difference and gives a little bit more piece of mind.
